- Rigging a biped character for animation - this link has a long list of tutorials for rigging characters to be animated, but the process is quite long and might get confusing for less experienced Maya users.
- 11 Second Club - a site with animation competitions to see which of the many entries each month is the best. A good resource to see how others animate their characters.
- Pre-rigged Characters - several characters that are already rigged and ready to animate, instead of having to model and rig your own for each animation.

Texturing
A few of my friends and instructors have shown me several sites on the web that can help modelers and digital artists find textures for their work. As I find more sites, I will update this blog to include links on where to find them.
- CG Textures - A very helpful site with thousands of high-res images that can be downloaded for free.
- Brushes Download - Granted not a site specifically for textures, but offers a wide range of Adobe Photoshop brushes and tutorials for free.
- "Top Ten Tips of Texturing" - A helpful article with some tips on how to texture more realistically.
- "Worn, Painted Metal Surface" - Step by step instructions on making Halo-ish style armor or just worn down metal.
- Texture Mate - A site with hundreds of textures and Photoshop brushes.
